KG Strategy Guide

One of the most well known game guide producing companies on the web is KillerGuides.com, a company specializing in MMORPG game guides. KillerGuides.com contains an expansive library of guides featuring guides from hit titles such as the most recently, Star Wars: The Old Republic and now with the website’s newest addition: TERA Online. KillerGuides.com lives up to their reputation as producing beautifully crafted and high quality guides to use. I purchased from them sometime ago and I was pleased with the outcome; my gaming improved, I was introduced to new types of fresh information and strategic combat tactics, gold increasing methods plus, an in-depth look how to obtain epic gear. What I’m mostly impressed are: the guides are published before game launch exposing me to an abundance of information, giving me a head start in the game. I recently purchased the KillerGuides Manual for TERA, which is a strategy plus leveling guide in one.

The guide provides an in-depth walkthrough on each mission and quest available in TERA. For instance, the author, in addition to describing quest objectives added miscellaneous notes: the amount of experience gained, the amount of gold, what types of monsters to farm from and etcetera. What I enjoyed about the guide is the guides’ professionalism. For example, the guide well-written without the use of slang or colloquial language thus the guide was easy to read and directly to the point.

Overall, the guide blew away my expectations. I was under the impression (at the beginning) the guide was similar to any other guide but now experiencing the guide first hand, I applaud KillerGuides for a job well done. The website did promise to assist me through the game which they did. Fresh thought-out strategies and proven to work is something I was most astonished by.

Considering the guide does everything as advertised, I think my next course of action is to buy the entire bundle, including 8 classes and a gold guide.

Here’s an overview on TERA Classes. More exclusive content could be found over at KillerGuides.com, from their TERA Online Leveling Manual

All right, the first thing that you guys will need to know is that every race has different racial abilities. So it’s going to be very important for you guys to pick your race carefully. Keep in mind, guys, that the classes are available to all the races. So a Human can be any of the roles that you want. You just have to pick the one that you want to play. Also, guys, keep in mind I didn’t have time to test all the classes yet. So I’m going to give you a small overview of the classes, what they can be, but I’m in no
way judging them or anything.

So for the Tera Warrior class, you can be melee DPS, obviously. You can also tank. I heard it was a bit harder than Lancer tanks, for example, because they’re in leather armor. I think it’s more about evasion, but it’s definitely doable.

Now for the Tera Lancer, its main role is to tank. I don’t think there’s any other role. I don’t think you can be a DPS lancer, for example.  So if you want to tank, this might be the class you want to go for.

Now for the Tera Slayer and the Berserker, they’re pretty much two burst melee DPS, and the only difference is one is in leather armor–the Slayer’s in leather armor–and the Berserker is going to be in metal armor. So he’s probably going to be a bit less squishy, but I think he has more issues with his mana. It’s like a rage system.

Now the Tera Sorcerer is pretty much straightforward. He’s going to be a range DPS. He’s going to use clothes armor, so he’s going to be pretty squishy I’m guessing.

The Tera Archer is going to be another range DPS in leather armor, though. Might not have as much burst but still going to be good DPS.

As for the Tera Priests, they’re probably going to be the main healers in this game.

And for the Tera Mystic it’s going to be more like support healers, and I think they’re going to have more buffs and they can summon minions too, like pets. So it’s going to be a different type of game play.

All right. We’ll now cover racial abilities for each race. Keep in mind that most of the active racial abilities usually have a pretty big cool down, between 20 minutes to 2 hours, so you might want to pick your race based on their passive racial abilities.

The active ability for the Tera Humans is basically that you are harder to knock down or paralyze, and this is a one hour cool down. The Humans have three passive abilities. One of them is you take less damage from other players and PvP when you’re very low on health. The second one would be when you are resurrected, you regenerate health. And the third one is you craft
light armor faster.

Now for the Tera Castanic, the active effect is increased combat speed for 3 minutes, but minus 20 percent resistance knocked down during that time. The effect will also be removed if you’re getting knocked down during that time. This has a 30 minute cool down. The Tera Castanic also has two passive abilities. One of them is that you have greater critical chance when you are hitting from behind. They also take a lot less falling damage whenever they fall from very high. Also, they can craft metal weapons much faster
than any other races.

Now for the Tera Aman, their active is pretty much a resistance knockdowns and knockouts. This is a one hour cool down ability. They also have three passive abilities. They gain damage reduction whenever their health is low. They also have a better resistance against damage over time effect. They can also gather ore much faster than any other races.

Now for the Tera Popori, they actually have two active abilities. The first one is a speed increase by 20 percent for 3 minutes, out of combat only, 30 minute cool down. The second ability actually lets you sneak through monsters for one minute. They won’t ignore you, but you will lose 40 percent of movement speed, and it’s a 1 hour cool down. Keep in mind you can use these two active abilities at the same time to reduce the negative effect. Now for the passive abilities, one of them is that they swim faster
than the other races. The second passive ability is that they can gather plants faster. You can notice that the Popori has no female version and that the Elin has no male version. What the game pretty much did is that both of these races actually have the same racial abilities. So consider these two races only one race actually, just with both sexes.

Now for the Tera Baraka, their active ability is a huge heal that will replenish all of their health, but it’s a two hour cool down. Their first passive ability is pretty much whenever they die they cannot go below 20 percent stamina. The stamina in this game actually lets you have more HPs than what you should have. Consider it a small buff that you can gain if you don’t die and you rest. I believe in the end you can gain an extra 20 percent HPs with stamina. Now for the second passive ability, it’s pretty much a ten percent resistance to binding and paralyzing effects. And for the last passive ability they have, they can craft magic equipment ten percent faster.

Now for the Tera High Elves, their active ability is a 2 hour cool down, 100 percent refill their mana. The High Elves actually only have two passive abilities. The first one is that they regenerate mana whenever they resurrect. And for their second passive ability, they can actually gather chemical essences faster than other races.

I will now show you a couple of my favorite race and class combinations with their pre-made armor.

TERA offers gamers with a total of eight playable classes. The classes are designed to satisfy a variety of play-styles, such as tanks, melee DPS, healer, ranged and magic based classes. Each class are equipped with different armor and weapons ranging from lances, bows, swords, blades, to staffs and scepters.

The eight known classes are: Archer, Berserker, Lancer, Mystic, Priest, Slayer, Sorcerer and Warrior. Each of the classes has their own unique skills and abilities. For some classes skills are more commonly referred to as spells.

TERA Archer: The Archer class is a ranged DPS. In other words, a class capable of dealing damage from a distance. Aiming and accuracy are important factors for this class.

TERA Berserker: This class is somewhat of a mix between a tank and a melee DPS. As a Berserker, gamers would be able to effectively tank for allies while at the same time, deal heavy damage onto targets.

TERA Lancer: The Lancer class in TERA is the ultimate tank. The class is capable of not only shielding but also posses skills such as shout and taunting enemies to direct damage their way and away from allies.

TERA Mystic: Gamers who loves to buff and de-buff would love this support class. The Mystic class is the ultimate tide turner for battles that look meek.

TERA Priest: The Priest class comes hand in hand with the Mystic class, while the Mystic is more versed in buffs, the Priest class is the ultimate healer. Skills include those that restores HP and brings allies back from the brink of death.

TERA Slayer: The Slayer class is a damage dealer. When it comes to dealing critical hits, taking down monsters with just a few sword maneuvers, the Slayer is your best bet.

TERA Sorcerer: The Sorcerer class is a magic-based class that deals heavy damage from a distance. When playing in groups, especially with a Lancer around, the Sorcerer is one of the deadliest weapons.

TERA Warrior: Although more suitable to be played as a damage dealer, the Warrior class can also be played as a tank.
